HELP!

So here's the deal:
During our move to Ohio, we stayed with some very generous people.
My sister Calli let us crash at her place for a week in Kansas.
Our friends, Jake and Kara, let us stay with them for a week once we reached Columbus.
It was very much appreciated.
The problem?
Both Calli and Kara are better chefs than I am.
(Read: they actually cook for their husbands and I...um...don't)
While we were staying with these wonderful people, my husband became accustomed to eating dinner that didn't come from a box.
So in an attempt to save my marriage, I promised my husband I would be better at cooking.
This is where you come in.
See, the hardest part about cooking dinner is deciding what to make.
I want something quick and painless.
5 ingredients. 30 minutes.
Do you have any good recipes that fit those guidelines?
If so, please share.
Either leave a comment or send me an email.
K thanks.

I am in the same boat as you...two recipes I did last week that were SUPER easy and delish were these...try em out and let me know what you think!!:)

Hawaiian Haystacks:
Sauce:
2 cans of cream of chicken
1 can of chicken broth
Can of Chicken (broken into small pieces)

Toppings:
Cheese
Black Olives
Tomatoes
Pineapple tidbits
Chow Mein Noodles

Put rice on your plate the chicken gravy and then top it with any or all of the above ingredients.

Chili Baked Potatoes

After washing and cooking 4 baked potatoes in the oven for about an hour, add butter, Salt & Pepper, and grated cheddar cheese. On top of that you will add the chili which will melt the cheese. Then you add salsa, sour cream, and black olives….mmmmmmm

Sounds like ME! I never have new ideas...and I'm very good at messing recipes up! Go checkout mealplanningmommies.blogspot.com
Awesome website gives you step by step pictures and reviews on the meals by real moms. Very informative-tried quite a few recipes myself and am pleased. Try "bubble pizza" -Wade loved it ( I was extremely proud to make something no one had before and something that he requests time and time again). Like mexican? Try putting a roast in the crockpot for however long it takes to cook : ) then when its done shred the meat, place in flour tortilla, fold each side in, place in pan of hot vegetable oil...fry for a couple of minutes and whala! A CHIMICHANGA...place sour cream, cheese, tomatos, avacodo you know THE WORKS. ENJOY and GOODLUCK!

Cooking really does stink. I like kraftfoods.com or if you go to my blog there are a bunch links to good receipe websites on the side. I have tried a few and am pretty pleased.

Cooking is really easy. Here's a quick easy way to make enchiladas on the stove.

Ingredients:
1 (small) can of enchildas sauce red or green your choice
1 can of cream of chicken soup
at least 2 tbsp of oil
1 frying pan
1 pckg of corn tortillas
shredded cheese

- heat oil in pan
- cut tortillas into small triangles, use at least 8-10 tortillas
- gently place in pan w/oil and slowly stir until coated and they start to brown a little
- then add sauce and the soup stir until tortiallas are covered in sauce
- then add cheese until it melts
- i like to add beans on the side. You can use a can of refied beans.

I hope this is easy enough for you. :)

Do you like lasagna? My receipe is very easy. Cook hamburger, no more than 1 lb. Once done, add your spaghetti sauce, and one container of cottage cheese. While you have been doing this, you have been boiling nine lasagna noodles. Once those are done cooking, get a 9x13 pan and put three noodles on the bottom. then layer on some of your meat sauce mixture. Then put another three noodles on top. Then layer the sauce. Then do the last three noddles, pour rest of sauce on, and spread mozzerella cheese on top. Cook at 350 for thirty minutes. This makes a big pan, but Joe and I love the left overs, almost takes better the next day. So we would just eat it for lunch and dinner the next day. You could also make a smaller batch or freeze it.

email me your address and i will mail you a whole stack of easy recipes. Also, there are a lot of websites and cook books based on this right now. Rachel Ray is my favorite 30 minute because it tastes restaraunt good in 30 min. Also, buy Barilla no boil noodles for your lasagna. you have to bake it a bit longer, but so much easier than handling hot sticky noodles!

Some easy meals:
big daddies
chicken, broccoli, and rice dinner (back of instant rice box)
chop chey
tortilla soup

Here's a new one:
Poppyseed Chicken

Ingredients
- 8 chicken breasts
- 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups Sour Cream
- 1-2 tsp of Poppy Seeds
- 1/2 to 1 stick of butter
- Sleeve of crushed Ritz-style crackers

Instructions
1) Combine soup, sour cream and poppy seeds. Pour over chicken.
2) Melt 1/2 to 1 stick of butter with a sleeve of crushed Ritz-style crackers. Top the chicken with the crumbs.
3) If you have pre-cooked your chicken, you can give it 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncooked will take longer of course --- at least an hour at 400 degrees, or slow cooked for a couple of hours at 325-350 degrees, depending if your chicken pieces are very large or still slightly frozen.
