Party Time!

The countdown is on!
In just 8 days, TJ and I will begin our trek to Ohio.
But before that can happen...
We Need To Party!
We want to have one last chance to hang out with all our friends
(and my mom offered to provide food!)
so we are having a BBQ / Pool Party

Monday, June 29, 2009
6:00 p.m.
at my parent's house

Don't know where they live?
Just ask, I'll let you know.
There will be plenty of burgers
with all the fixings.
(If you want a different meat, BYO)
Just bring a side or dessert to share.
And your swimsuit.
And probably a towel.

So if you are planning on coming by, leave me a comment.
Mom needs to know how many burgers to throw on the grill.
Can't commit?
I understand.
You can still come without an RSVP.
My mom will always overprepare.
We'll have burgers coming our of our ears.

Everyone is invited.
Seriously.
We will miss all our friends and want one last chance to see all of you!
Hope to see you there!

BIG NEWS!

I have 2 HUGE things that need to be shared.
HUGE news #1:
We're moving in 15 days!
Seriously.
Wanna know where?
Columbus, Ohio
Wanna know why?
Because the husband is awesome.
He has been accepted to THE Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Am I nervous?
You bet.
Am I slightly scared?
Definitely.
Am I excited?
Totally.
Our apartment is a mess as we have started packing.
TJ is trying to throw everything away.
I am secretly pulling things out of the trash.
We are taking almost nothing with us.
If you want something that we have, come get it.
It's yours.

Okay, HUGE news #2
I need to buy this:
because my eggo is preggo!
Seriously.
I'm not kidding.
Baby Buckeye will be here at the end of January.
Am I nervous?
You bet.
Am I slightly scared?
Definitely.
Am I excited?
Totally!
Morning sickness?
Huge lie.
It should totally be called "All Day Long Sickness"
But it comes in handy when I don't want to help pack.
Packing is lame.

So there you have it.
Two HUGE things.
Our life is completely upside down right now.
We don't really know what we are doing.
But we are totally excited!

Girls Camp

This week was Girls Camp.
Months of planning.
Months of stressing.
Dunzo!
Girls Camp was a lot of fun.
The girls say they could have stayed longer.
The leaders say 4 days was long enough.
Highlights:
Our skit.
People laughed. Mission accomplished.
Our dance.
We had to learn a Russian dance.
Ours was the hardest one ever.
Our song.
We sang "I Am A Child Of God" in Russian.
It was hard.
The Young Women in my ward are fantastic.
They loved being at camp, despite the frigid nights.
Thanks for an awesome week, girls!

HALLELUJAH!

No more pencils
No more books
No more teachers dirty looks!
That's right.
School is out for summer.
I have successfully (I think) finished my first year teaching.
This year was:
hectic
crazy
stressful
scary
tiring
and FUN!
I loved the students in my class.
Well, most of them.
And I loved the school I was at.
My principal is fantastic.
The teachers are wonderful.
The aids are helpful.
I couldn't have asked for a better first year.
But now I am ready for a break.
Time to start working on my list of things to do.
