Just another reason why I love my Husband

I have the most thoughtful husband in the whole wide world. After a weekend of feeling kinda junky and a crappy day teaching, I came home to find this gorgeous Breakfast at Tiffany's framed picture waiting for me! I love Breakfast at Tiffany's and Audrey Hepburn, and I have been coveting this picture for ages! My hubby had attached a sweet note that, of course, brought tears to my eyes. It has already found its home on my wall right above my sofa. Now the first thing I see when I walk into my house is Audrey!

The Warmest Season Of The Year (aka Summer)

This is Summer. Last night I went with her to her YW Recognition Night (since her real mom abandoned her!). Can you believe that she won homecoming queen?!?

This is Jessica. She was there too. She didn't want to smile...or make a goofy face.

This is my dad. He didn't know I was taking the picture, or he probably would have chosen to make a different face.

This is Summer strutting her stuff on stage. My camera died immediately after I took this picture, or I would have taken a different one (i.e. a better one).

Easter Eggs on Easter Eve

Happy day after Easter! TJ and I had a pretty chill Easter, spending time with my family and eating more food than any human should actually consume. I didn't take any pictures of our Easter celebration (because I suck) but I did capture the joy that was Easter Eve. I was actually able to convince TJ to color Easter eggs with me this year, which was an amazing feat on its own!
Who's excited to color Easter eggs? TJ is!

TJ got bored (about 2 minutes into it) and he started creating things out of a paper towel roll.

The finished products (can you tell which ones are TJ's?)

And TJ made a fantabulous video starring one of his eggs, but the silly video thingy isn't working...so check back later to see if I got it working!

Spring Break in Newport Beach

Check out all our pictures from our trip in the slideshows at the bottom of the page!

Thanks to my awesome friend Lindsey, we were able to spend several days in Newport Beach for Spring Break! We arrived at our AMAZING resort Saturday and spent the next few days at the beach, at the pool, and at Universal Studios. Everyone was so excited to be in California, since we all needed a break from school and work. TJ and I went with our friend Lindsey, her boy Max, Lindsey's sister Sarah, Sarah's boy Brandon, and Lindsey's friend Brittney. The resort was fabulous, the beach was gorgeous, and the weather was absolutely perfect.

Twilight Zone: Part 2

Currently, I am blogging from an absolutely fan-freaking-tastic resort in beautiful Newport Beach (more posts to come about my awesome vacation once I get home...promise!). The weather is beautiful so I don't want to make this post too long, but I needed to let you all know how much I L-O-V-E the book Twilight! I borrowed it from my fam on Thursday and just finished it today (Sunday). Every chance I had, I would pick it up to read a little more. It was a really good read...everyone would be standing around waiting to head to the hot tub/pool/beach/whatever and I would just say "hold on...I HAVE to finish this chapter!" I cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series. So to end my quick little post, I must say that I would totally recommend this book to everyone!

P.S. Summer you were totally right! I was reading the book with TJ sitting next to me and when I got to around the middle of the book (when Bella and Edward are in the woods...know which part I'm talking about) and I totally wished TJ could be a vampire!!!

Twilight Zone

So everyone is talking about the book "Twilight"...apparently it is an amazing book. And since I am such a follower, I decided it was time for me to jump on the bandwagon. My super cool friend Sarah told me about this book months ago, and I kinda just laughed. A vampire love story...sounded so lame!? But my sisters started telling me how amazing the book was, then some other friends started talking about it...so I figured there was no getting around it. And since I am heading to Newport this weekend for a little R & R, it seems like the perfect time to start reading it. I'll let you know what I think of it (since I know everyone totally values my opinion above all else).
