And so it begins...

Know what those are?
That's right...rubber bands.
Currently, these are being used to keep my pants on.
'Cause my belly is getting bigger, but my pants are staying the same.
Right now they are the smallest rubber bands I could find.
But this is just the beginning of the belly.
Any thoughts or advice on buying maternity clothes?

Go to Target. I also did the rubber band deal for awhile, until my pants got too tight. :) You can checkout Motherhood in their clearance racks for some cute things too.

Motherhood has cute things, sometimes. I was able to wear most of my shirts through my pregnancy. It sounds weird, but I'd ask sisters in the ward for maternity clothes you could borrow, or hit up thrift stores. They can be super expensive and you don't wear them for very long. Most of my maternity clothes I had I borrowed from a friend in the ward.

I totally did the rubber band thing for a while.... But then I went to ROSS & broke down and tried on Maternity Jeans... And They were SOOOOO Much More Comfortable and I actually found Some that didn't look UGLY :)

Dude - when you figure this one out, let me know. I have been wearing my low rise jeans with a belly band to keep them up, but that's going to stop working pretty soon, and every pair of maternity jeans I've tried on is entirely unflattering.

Shirts aren't so bad though. You can find good sales on maternity stuff, but really anything either loose or long will work over your tum.

Which, by the way, you should post pictures of!

GO TO ROSS!! I'm not kidding - that is where I found the BEST deals. Seriously. I got a maternity shirt for $1.50! Most of the clothes I got were loaned to me from two friends, but when I felt like I wanted to go out and get something new for myself that's where I went. They have a good selection. I sure hope they have Ross's out there. And another thing - I wore a ton of my non-maternity shirts throughout my whole pregnancy (some of those even fit better than my maternity shirts!) You can get really long cute ones at Forever 21 for cheap.

Hey- I had a hard time finging flattering pants to wear. So...I bought jeans that were too big..like a few sizes too big. Worked well for me! Shirt wise-check out Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 look for the shirts that are speghetti straps and pretty with a fit top and loose bottom that you can time in a bow in the back. Shows off your belly and you can even wear them after the baby and look cute!

I HATED maternity pants. I couldn't find anything that wasn't made for a blimp. also the band around the waste would always slip under my belly, so I'd always be pulling them up. I ended up just buying normal, bigger size jeans that were the super low rise- and I'd wear my husband's belt with them. It worked for me! I did use the rubberbands for a long time too though!

I would check those out. I saw them in a magazine at the doctors office.
