It is with a sad heart that I must create this post. I am very sorry to report that when TJ came home from work this evening, he discovered that Mick Jagger was no longer with us. Mick has passed on and gracefully left our family (via a flush from the toilet). I would like to say just a few things about Mick. Mick was a very happy fish, always darting around in his bowl. He was a very friendly fish and would often try to encourage his friend Fifi to play with him. Mick touched the lives of all those he came in contact with and will forever be a part of our family. Even though Mick is no longer in our home, he will forever live on in our hearts.
Fifi is still with us, but does not seem to be handling the loss of her friend well. We will continue to monitor Fifi's health and do all we can to provide a happy and healthy home for her. We are grateful for all your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time in our lives.

I am so sorry about your loss. Even though I never met Mick in person, I really felt that I got to know him from your blog. So, in their honor, I thought I would post this poem I came across:
Sick Fish
The fish in our aquarium
are looking rather ill,
and most of them are turning
kind of green around the gill.
I might have fed them too much food,
forgot to clean their tank,
or maybe they're allergic to
the toys and junk I sank.
Perhaps I broke the thermostat.
I could have cut their air.
What's certain is they're sickly
from my downright lack of care.
But even though they're looking ill
I still have cause to gloat;
they're obviously talented--
they're learning how to float!

Rest in Peace Mick... Rest in Peace
Here's my theory: Lisa wants a baby. TJ doesn't want Lisa to want a baby right now. They strike a deal that they will try fish first and see if they're cut out for parenthood right now. They each pick out a fish. TJ decides to kill one of the fish as proof that they can not have a baby right now. If he kills Lisa's fish, that's just mean, so he sacrifices Mick in order to claim innocence - who would ever suspect TJ of killing his own fish (except me)? Poor Mick. (Lisa & TJ, I'm totally kidding, just for the record).
i cant believe that mick is already dead!! you just bought him. you guys are the worst pet owners ever! haha
Ha ha... you're hilarious. You totally make me laugh! Yes, we need to have a girls night sometime soon. I was thinking of planning one for next weekend or the weekend after? Any of those nights good for you?
Maybe if you'd named him Keith Richards he might still be alive cause no one can figure out why he hasn't died yet. RIP, Mick!
